Well, unless of course you’re a super hero of some type and need one to put over your spandex super suit… And to accessorize the cape, it’s always a great idea to put on a holey hat with a big honkin’ flower on the side of it that looks like it’s eating your face.
When was the last time you saw a cape and jeans together? Unless you’re wearing a onesy spandex suit underneath it, pretty much nothing else goes with a cape…that’s just reality folks!

I beg ye pardon kind sir, but ye jives at the lasses cape are unfounded. How canst thou sayeth that capes are unfashionable? Why just a fortnight upon last I wore my cape at my local witch burning and it twas quite admired!
Now if you will excuse me, I must hence visit the apothecary to have leaches suck the devil from my body. GOOD DAY SIR!

And anyone who’s seen “The Incredibles” should have learnt that even superheroes shouldn’t be wearing capes. In the words of Edna Mode: NO CAPE!

HAHA my mom used to be a crochet-a-holic when I was little, mainly because she was bored working a night nurse shift, and she made most of my hideous holey, yet colorful infant wardrobe. And what she didn’t crochet, she tie-died.
Great site, made me laugh

Look, oh, look. It’s not a cape. It’s oval. It’s a Wintuk living room rug tossed over the shoulders and held together by an improvised blob.
And that hat? That isn’t a hat. It’s one of those string shopping bags.
And that alien insect crawling up the right side of her face? That’s definitely an alien insect.

I actually like these. The cloche is well-designed, and if you’re gonna wear a cape, it’s not bad. It’s quite like a wrap. But…
A) Not together and
B) Not with the big roses. Those are just nasty.

Hey guys, you must not be the mom of a teenager – While I don’t care for the style – This is definitely the “IN” thing – grates a bit on my nerves – but – what is in is in whether we like it or not. (remember when Miami Vise started wearing Blazers with jeans……????? yuk! …. but now we just accept them -)
Go to the store guys and check out the styles – ya’ll are behind the times…..about a century or so I assume…. grin.

Built-in earmuffs. What a genius the designer must be! Very efficient. The other one must have fallen of in the model’s rush to be photographed wearing it.

I think it’s cute (if it were in a different color and without the hat). Where’d you find it?

I wanna make myself a cape…Oh, wait. I did.
I wanna make myself a cape out of yarn. Good for cold-weather LARPing. Call me a nerd if you wish, but you guys crochet, too.

Oh wow. I was thinking kind of along the same lines almost. I was thinking that this pattern would be worth a try for ren-fest.
