Hey, I found the perfect accessory for the “Gourmet Crochet Audrey” shrug posted below! Don’t you think these slippers are divine? And the flowers on them are superb. What a wonderful design this is… and meant to decorate your toes with posies! Wow, I never thought of that before…so glad someone else did.
Made in an array of really tacky colours to suit any other fug piece you may have in your wardrobe too. I think I’ve found the perfect slipper!

THANK YOU…. i’ve always wondered about these. when i was learning to knit and am still learning to crochet, it seemed the only options for a first pattern were these tubed footed nightmares. i might not know how to do dickiedoo with my hooks, but i know i shall never ever wever make booties for my cylindrical feet.

Those slippers look pretty stiff, as if they are holding their cylindrical shape all alone. It may just be me, but the idea of any wool that stiff doesn’t make me think “warm fuzzy comfy” like slippers should.

Ack! Those are truly foul. I’m ashamed to say, however, that if you make something bright and garish enough, I’ll be drawn to it against my will. These colourful booties are beginning to work their charm on me – soon the whole family will be kitted out in foral footwear.

Sans posies, these sucker remind me of the ones my late great-grandmother used to knit, with crocheted trim around the ankles. Same nasty colour combinations, same iron-like durability—those monsters would survive a direct hit on the ol’ fallout shelter!

I’m kinda concerned about those blue leaves myself. And the fact that the yellow shoes come with socks already.
Maybe they’re like those souvineir wooden shoes that people buy but never wear. These are quite possibly amusing candy dishes, ashtrays, or maybe even flowerpots.

I can’t find anything bad to say about these. They’re so… I dunno what the word I want is. Is there a word for quaint in an ignorant sort of way?
You know, they might look kind of cute in pastel baby yarn for a two year old girl.
I don’t know why anyone thought a grown woman would want them in screaming technicolor, however.

My grandmother used to make these for her granddaughters, including me. As little girls, we loved them. As an adult, I might wear a pair because I remember how comfortable they truly were, but I would never admit to wearing them, and would never go out in public with a pair on. I guess I’m a closeted-ugly-crochet-shoe-wearer!!

Good for hammertoes, hotflashes, fractured hips, corns and callouses. I think seasonal design modifications for boots, flipflops, clogs, wedgies, high heels and galoshes are in order. Could they be made waterproof?

YE-AH! A pair for every occasion! The Christmas pair is obvious, the green ones for spring, the yellow ones for, ah, uh,… But I agree with those who envision how cute they’d look on a little tyke (I’d dump the yellow color combination, though). If they had a vinyl Big Bird or Cookie Monster head where the posies are, they’d be a dead ringer for the slippers my little girls wore almost around the clock. Now, THOSE could be done in Fun Fur!

The idea is cute, but I would prefer smaller flowers. And the yellow slippers are so crowded that they look gaudy. On second thought, I will stick to bunny slippers.
They have inspired me to design my own slippers. I will crochet a protrusion of some sort and call them “Nosey Toes.”
